Deficit Irrigation Using Saline Water of Fruit Trees under Water Scarcity Conditions of Southern Tunisia

چکیده
Both water scarcity and salinity are major obstacles for crop production in arid parts of Tunisia require adoption strategies aimed at improving water-use efficiency. Field experiments on deficit irrigation (DI) table olive, orange trees, grapevines with saline (2 dS·m−1) were conducted the region Médenine, Tunisia. Three treatments compared farmer’s method (FM) over two years (2013–2014): (DI75) (DI50), which received 75% 50% less than full (FI), respectively, compensation evapotranspiration (FI). Measurements included seasonal changes soil content, salinity, yield, fruit quality, economic return. Results showed that in-season limitations, roughly between 700–250 mm, caused significant reductions yield weight, but improved total soluble solids fruits. Under FI, DI75, DI50, FM, average yields 26.6, 20.1, 14.7, 21.2 t·ha−1 orange, 4.5, 4.0, 3.1, 3.5 3.8, 3.4, grapevine, respectively. Soil build up increased linearly decreasing water. Irrigation productivity (IWP), although lowest was relatively high (3.30–4.30 kg·m−3 0.65–1.20 0.74–1.30 grapevine). Economic evaluation FI strategy generated greatest net income (1800–6630 USD·ha−1), followed by DI75 (1350–3940 FM (844–4340 DI50 (600–2400 USD·ha−1). The results show an important potential reasonably sustaining under scarcity.

Application of the SWAP model to simulate water-salt transport under deficit irrigation with saline water
The agro-hydrological Soil–Water–Atmosphere–Plant (SWAP) model was calibrated and validated to simulate water–salt transport based on field experiments in an arid region of China. The simulation results show lower soil water content but higher salt concentration under deficit irrigation. Soil water and salinity below 95 cm at 80% evapotranspiration (ETc ) treatments and 65 cm at 60% ETc treatme...

Salinization of soil is primarily caused by capillary rise from saline shallow groundwater orapplication of saline irrigation water. In this investigation, the transient state analytical modelwas modified to predict water uptake from saline shallow groundwater, actual cropevapotranspiration, soil water content, dry matter, seed yield and soil salinity under differentsaline groundwater depths, i...

growth and flowering of two tuberose (polianthes tuberosa l.) cultivars under deficit irrigation by saline water
tuberose (polianthes tuberosa l.) is one of the most important bulbous ornamental crops of tropical and subtropical areas. the objective of the present study was to determine the interaction effects of salinity and irrigation intervals on growth and flowering of two important commercial cultivars (‘mahallati’ and ‘dezfuli’) of tuberose (polianthes tuberosa l.). irrigation treatments consisted o...
متن کاملestimation soil water content under deficit irrigation by using dssat
crop models need more evaluation and study for use in deficit irrigation. the main objective of this paper was to study the efficiency and accuracy of dssat model, in estimating of moisture in the soil profile under two levels of water application¬¬¬ in silage maize field. two irrigation treatments including deficit irrigation (0.7 smd), and a full irrigation (smd) were considered for two years...
